Silver Stallion – A Tribute to The Highwaymen with opening act The Carl Webb Band

July 29 @ 6:00 pm

Lake Michigan Credit Union Waterfront Stage

Monday – July 29,2024 – 6:00 pm

Silver Stallion is an homage to the outlaws of country featuring tributes to Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Johnny Cash! This show is an authentic tribute right down to the voices, mannerisms, and clothing of the legendary Highwaymen.

Frank Perry as Waylon Jennings…is a singer songwriter and bass guitarist that hails from East Tennessee with 40 plus years of experience. Frank has won numerous singing and talent contests and has appeared on the Nashville network. Frank has opened for numerous Nashville Acts such as Hoyt Axton, Randy Parton and Alan Jackson just to name a few. Frank has played a wide variety of music from gospel, bluegrass, classic rock and country music.  Jeff Tankersley as Johnny Cash…has been a huge fan of “Johnny Cash” and performing as the “Man in Black” for several years. Growing up his dad would play Johnny Cash records all the time. As he got older, he found himself not just listening to the music but relating to the stories that were told in his songs. Jeff feels so blessed to be able to have the talent to entertain Johnny’s fans and take them back for just a short time during his performance. Larry Walsh as Willie Nelson..is a singer/song writer from Piney Flats, TN. He has been in several bands through the years and is currently performing a tribute act as Willie Nelson and Don Williams. That started at a band rehearsal in the early 80’s. “Always on My Mind” had been selected as single of the year. Alan Tedders as Kris Kristofferson…a stage veteran of 40 plus years. Alan is better known in the US and Canada for his spot- Willie Nelson impersonation and has toured the Southern US sang and acted in many theaters. Alan is a talented songwriter and performer.

All the Highwaymen’s great songs are included: ‘Silver Stallion’, ‘Live Forever’, ‘The Highwayman’ and many more, along with individual classics like ‘Luckenbach Texas’, ‘On the Road Again’, ‘Folsom Prison Blues’, ‘Ring of Fire’ and ‘Help me Make it Through the Night’ and more.

As Waylon Jennings once said in an interview about the Highwaymen – “It’s all about the songs”.
