Yachtley Crew, are the seven-piece So Cal band who burst onto the club scene in 2017, selling out countless local venues before starting a nationwide Yacht Rock craze and being noticed by the legendary Jimmy Buffett who signed them to his own Mailboat Records label.
The nautical-suited and captain’s hat-clad Yachtley Crew (otherwise known as “The Titans Of Soft Rock) is comprised of lead vocalist Phillip Daniel (Philly Ocean), drummer Rob Jones (Sailor Hawkins), bassist Chas Ruiz (Baba Bouy), guitarist Thomas Gardner Jr. (Tommy Bouy), backing vocalist Kurt Clendenin (Stoney Shores), saxophone/flutist Paul Pate (Pauly Shore) and keyboardist Matt Grossman (Matthew McDonald).
Growing exponentially over the past years, Yachtley Crew have toured in cities throughout the U.S. and Europe and are currently gearing up for their 2024 Full Steam Ahead tour that begins in March. The group will continue their third-year residency at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and recently released their first EP Seas The Day on Mailboat Records.
For those uninitiated, Yacht Rock encapsulates the revival of soft rock and Top 40 hits from the late 70’s to the early 80’s, which has become a nationwide phenomenon, inspiring fans to dress the part and sing along.
